I will miss Lola--her warm and sweet smile, her handmade and home-cooked goodies, her encouraging words, and just "being" a part of Don! I hardly saw one without the other. It was a joy to know her for many years. Mike and I were blessed to call them friends! Don and family, the service was lovely! What a tribute to our Father and the Wagner children/grandchildren and Lola!
Lola was and always will be an example of a Godly woman for me. We were in Bible Study Fellowship for many years together. She was wise and soft spoken,. I have several verses in my Bible that had Lola's' name written by them. Truly a faithful servant and wonderful friend."Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning." We were neighbors on State Street in North Warren and members of Calvary Baptist Church prior to your move to Texas. Our sympathy to Don and the rest of the family at this time. We know you will hold your memories of Lola in your heart as you look forward to being together with her in Heaven.

Lola was a very, very, very special lady. I grew to love her in our Bible Study Fellowship leader's circle. She was a great encourager. I will miss her dearly.

My thoughts and prayers are with Don and the rest of the family at the Homegoing of dear Lola. Visiting with Wagners was one of the highlights of my Christmas visits to Longview. It was always fun to see what new craft Lola was working on, and I was often on the receiving end of some new thing she had learned to do. I remember one year when we ate at Wagners and Lola served sauerkraut. My sister and I don't really like sauerkraut, but Lola assured us we would like hers. I haven't added sauerkraut to my list of favorite foods, but I have to admit, Lola's was pretty good! I have many happy memories, and I have the assurance of seeing Lola in Heaven with our Lord and our other loved ones who have gone to Glory ahead of us. Love, Valerie Wilson (Mary Jackson's sister)
