Services for Lola Mae Day, 87, of Longview will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at Winterfield United Methodist Church with the Reverends Mike Lindstrom and Charles Grasty officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The burial service will be held at 10 AM prior to the service in Rosewood Park.
Mrs. Day was born on October 29, 1917 in Palestine to Jack and Sallie Eubanks. She was retired from Houston I.S.D., where she managed several school cafeterias.
Mrs. Day was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and 4 brothers. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Caro L. Day, of Longview, son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Frances Day of Longview; two grandsons, Zachary and Nathan Day of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Billie Jo and Joe Holmes of Oklahoma City, OK.; one granddaughter, Sheri Taggart and her husband Lynn of Oklahoma City, OK.; and two great grandchildren, John and Jace Taggart.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Day to: Winterfield United Methodist Church, 2616 Tryon Road, Longview, Texas 75605 or Asbury House Child Enrichment Center, 320 S. Center St., Longview, Texas 75601.
