Funeral services for Lola Emadel Nixon, 81, of Hallsville, will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, January 18, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church of Hallsville with the Reverend Randy Hageman officiating. Burial will be at Holly Springs Cemetery, Ben Wheeler, TX. She died Wednesday evening in a Longview nursing center. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Nixon was born January 4, 1922 in Texana, OK., and had been a resident of Hallsville since 1963, where she taught school. She had also taught in Oklahoma, Germany, California. Mrs. Nixon was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hallsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis W. Nixon; son, Kenneth Nixon; and her daughter, Lola Elizabeth Nixon. Survivors include a nephew, Larry Addington of Arkansas, and a host of close friends and several other relatives.
