Lois came to Texas in 1963, settling in Longview. Lois loved retail and fashion. In the mid-1960’s, she went to work at Riff’s in downtown Longview. She had the knack for knowing what her clients liked and was able to build beautiful clothing collections for them while working there. It was there, at Riff’s that she made lifelong friends with co-workers and clients retiring in 1989.
Lois’ friends and family knew her to be a woman of strong faith. She was a member of First Christian Church and loved her Cornerstone Sunday School Class. Lois was always ready to enjoy company of family and friends with an easy smile and a warm hug. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. Watching “America’s team “the Dallas Cowboys was the highlight of her fall weekends. Lois’ greatest joy in life was being a gracious homemaker and mother to her children.
A small memorial service was held at Radar Funeral Home and her family enjoyed receiving visitors afterward.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice and Haven Care.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Christian Church of Longview.
