Lois Marselle Bozarth's Obituary
Visitation for Lois Marselle Hale Bozarth, 80, most recently of Naperville, Illinois, formerly of Longview, will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery. Mrs. Bozarth died Monday morning, September 10, 2012, at Independence Village in Naperville.
She was born September 14, 1931, in Kilgore TX to Aubrey Hale Sr. and Mary Willie Melton Hale. She grew up in the Longview area and graduated from White Oak High School, before marrying her beloved husband of 61 years, John Edwin Bozarth, in 1949. They moved to West Texas in 1950 and lived there until 1963, when the family was transferred to Richmond, Virginia. Mrs. Bozarth was a dedicated homemaker and mother; and she worked for many years, both in West Texas and in Virginia, as a dental assistant. After almost 30 years in Virginia, they moved back to Longview, to enjoy retirement among extended family. She was an active member at Immanuel Baptist Church in Richmond and, later, at Pinecrest Bible Church in Longview.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bozarth; her daughter, Brenda Francis; her father, Aubrey Hale Sr., and her mother, Mary Hale; her brothers, Norris Thurston and Aubrey Jr.; and her sisters Betty Sue, Audrey and Bernice.
She is survived by her son, Ron Bozarth, and his wife, Julie, of Naperville, Illinois; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jenny, Mollie, Jonathan, Christopher, Melissa and Matthew; and eleven great-grandchildren.
