Lois Lynne Carr's Obituary
Lois Lynne Carr age 64 passed away February 17, 2012 at Margaret's House, Longview.
She was born to Moise and Lena Bourgeois January 1, 1948 in Pontiac, Michigan.
Growing up she lived in Waterford, Michigan where she attended local schools and graduated from Waterford High School. Later on June 17, 1967 Lois married her high school sweet heart, Dennis Carr and together for the next 44 years they raised a family. In 1983 they moved to White Oak, Texas where she spent the rest of her days. Lois spent many enjoyable hours sewing and crocheting. She took great care of her yard and tending to her flowers. Lois was a nature lover and for many years was active in various outdoor adventures. She was also a devout Christian drawing strength from her faith during difficult times in life.
Lois is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Dennis Lee Carr, White Oak, Daughter, Nicole Vandegriff and her husband Tim, Edmond, OK, Son, Tony Carr and his wife Iris, White Oak, Amanda Walker and her husband Christopher, White Oak, three grandchildren, Shea Vandegriff, Taylor Carr, Olivia Walker, mother, Lena Elizabeth Bourgeois, Waterford, MI and sister, Sheila Maltby and her husband Randy, Farmington Hills, MI.
Lois is preceded in passing by her dear father, Moise Joseph Bourgeois, loving daughter, Krystine Carr and precious granddaughter, Emma Vandegriff.
There will be a time of visitation at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, Monday, February 20, 2012 5pm-7pm.
Funeral Services will be at New Beginnings Baptist Church, Longview, Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 2pm. Interment to follow at Rosewood Park, Longview.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Beacon Hospice of Longview, TX or Gideon's International.
