Funeral services for Lois LaVerne Schurr, 78, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Friday, January 14, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Mike Schutz officiating. Entombment will follow in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the funeral home. Mrs. Schurr was born on December 4, 1932 in Washington, PA to Wilmer and Ruth Slagle. She passed away on January 10, 2011 in a Longview hospital. She was a realtor and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her son, David Schurr; and daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Lu and Collis Williams; as well as grandchildren, Colin Ray Williams, Jonathan Robert Schurr. Memorials may be made in her honor to the American Heart Associtation or the American Cancer Society.
