Lois Marie Jones' Obituary
Lois Marie Jones, 79, of Longview, Texas passed away peacefully on July 8, 2020, with her family by her side. She was born in Pampa, Texas on August 26, 1940 to the late Paul and Helen Rittenhouse. She was predeceased by her sister, Beverly (Tom) Johnson of Braggs, Oklahoma
She married the love of her life, James B. Jones on May 31, 1958. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband James; two sons, Tony and Jeff (Karyn) Jones of Longview, Texas; Step-daughter, Nancy (Jerry) Kilpatrick of Levering, Michigan; two grandchildren, Nycole (Jeff) Bowden and Cory (Paige Siglin) Jones; and 4 great-grandchildren, Rilee, McKynna, Logan and Gatlin all of Longview, Texas; her sister Muriel (Warren) Thomas of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Lois retired from the USPS as a Longview rural mail carrier in 2002. She loved to read, sew and was an avid movie goer. After retirement the couple re-located to Port Isabel, Texas where they enjoyed the beaches, beautiful scenery and were very involved in the local church. Longing to be closer to their family they returned to the East Texas area.
