Lindsey Ann Parker Bozeman's Obituary
Lindsey Ann Parker Bozeman went home to Heaven be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 21, 2023. Details are being handled by the Rader Funeral Home of Longview and interment will be overseen by the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home of Houston.
Lindsey was born October 3, 1929 in St. Louis to Josiah Atkins Parker IX and Margaret Chamberlin Parker. She grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and attended DePauw University followed by the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and met the love of her life, Cecil Bozeman. They married in 1953 and moved to Houston, Texas where she served lifelong as a master homemaker and mother. Lindsey took an active role in many ministries of the First Presbyterian Church of Houston. and also served regularly with her college sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma. She traveled extensively in her retirement years and most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In between, she shared her life with others through needlepoint projects and played bridge with a passion. Lindsey moved to Buckner Westminster Place in Longview in 2012 where she enjoyed rich friendships with the many residents and staff there.
Lindsey was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Cecil Bozeman, parents Josiah Atkins Parker IX and Margaret Chamberlin Parker and brother, Edwin Chamberlin Parker. She is survived by her three children, Kirby Parker Bozeman and wife Karen Leigh Germany Bozeman of Longview, Thomas Edward Bozeman and wife Pamela Jean Hiebert, MD, of Bozeman, Montana, and Margaret “Meg” Louise Bozeman Adams and husband Stephen Michael Adams of Dallas, Texas. Her legacy lives on in her seven grandchildren and their families; Kirk Thomas Bozeman, Kimberly Elizabeth Bozeman, Jared Josiah Bozeman, MD and wife Adria Bozeman, Lauren Elizabeth Bozeman and husband Matt Lee, Lindsey Grace Adams Gerke, PA, and husband Joseph Charles Gerke I, Heather Lee Adams Jiang and husband Ting Jiang, and Kyle Bozeman Adams and wife Elizabeth Reimer Adams as well as seven great grandchildren: Oliver Thomas Bozeman, Elias Samuel Gerke, Caleb Frederick Gerke, Daniel Pax Gerke, Joseph Charles Gerke II, Dao Lee Jiang, and Song Cecil Jiang.
A private family celebration of Lindsey’s life will be held in Houston.
