Linda Pursley's Obituary
Services for Linda Pursley were held at Rosewood Park on Monday, March 15, 2026 at 10 am. Mrs. Pursley passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 in Longview.
She was born on January 11, 1941 to Thayer and Rosalie Acord in Schenectady, New York. She had two sisters Susan Murphie, Karen Shields and a brother Ken Acord. She married Lee Wain Pursley on June 10, 1967. Mrs. Pursley graduated Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas, earned a BA in Spanish at Southern Methodist University, Graduate Studies in Spain via Texas Christian University and was member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She started her professional career at Dresser Industries in Dallas. She worked at Kilgore Education Center prior to a 40 plus year career as a decorator and business partner. She was a Rotary International Paul Harris recipient, a member of the Methodist Church, co-founder of Keep Longview Beautiful, Volunteer at Pine Tree School District, awarded Citizen of the year from the Longview Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Rainbow and Eastern Star. She traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States.
She is survived by her husband Lee Wayne Pursley, son Stephen Wain Pursley and wife Severine of Colorado; granddaughters Audrey and Emma Pursley.
