Linda Marie Phillips' Obituary
On December 9, 2020 Linda Marie Connelly Phillips loving wife, mother and grandmother. Went to be with the Lord in Longview TX. At the age of 65. Linda was born on May 6, 1955 in Liberty MO to Kay and John Connelly.
She graduated high school 1973 from Liberty High school. While working at a local dealership in 1977 she meet her husband of 42 years Johnnie Phillips. They married on September 2, 1978 in Kansas City MO. In August 1980 they welcomed their only child, Dustin Phillips . Soon after the birth of her son they moved down to Longview Tx . She had a career as a receptionist at area local car dealerships. She retired in 2007.
Linda was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs football team. She never missed a game. While the game was playing she would cheer on the team and did not want to be disturbed.
She also enjoyed traveling. Over the years she went on many cruises. Her favorite cruise she went on was the one in Alaska.
Linda was a proud grandmother of 4. Her grandchildren gave her the nickname G-Mal. Because she was the cool grandmother. Her grandchildren meant everything to her. She loved supporting her grandkids in any activity they did. She tried to never miss anything.
Linda became the neighborhood grandmother to several neighbor children. During the hot summer months she made sure they always had popsicles, earning her the nickname The Popsicles Lady.
She is Survived by Husband , Johnnie Phillips of Longview TX. Son Dustin Phillips and wife Amber Phillips of Union Grove TX, their children Kada , Hagen , Lillie and Ryley Phillips. Brothers Pat Connelly and wife Lisa Connelly of Gilmer TX . Tom Connelly of Longview TX . Terry Connelly of Tyler TX . Cousins Mike Bisacca and wife Marty Bisacca of Lee Summit MO. Michele Rooney of Overland Park, KS. Mike Rooney of Kansas City, KS. Uncle Carroll Frogge of Kansas City MO, Carol Bisacca of Kansas City, MO.
She is predeceased in death by both parents Kay and John Connelly .Along with aunts, uncles & cousins Ray & Loretta Bisacca, Tom & Nancy Rooney , and Mary Margaret Frogge , Cathy Frogge.
