Linda Richie Mathis' Obituary
Services for Linda Richie Mathis, 74, of Longview will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at noon. Burial will be held at Rosewood Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Mathis passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
She was born in Lake City, AR. to J.B. and Cora Adoline Richie on September 2, 1942. She was a member of Longview Baptist Temple and taught Sunday School for many years. She loved spending her time with the church and especially with her beloved grandchildren. She has lived in Longview for 60 years and worked for Pepsi Cola for 20 years. She married Wayne Mathis in Longview on October 10, 1963. She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne Mathis, sister Martha Richie and brother Oscar Richie.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kim and Mike Lutts of Longview; son and daughter-in-law Curt and Pui Mathis of Houston; grandchildren Lona Jaynes, Lauren Jaynes, Layla Jaynes, Cody Mathis, Cailee Mathis; sister Peggy Carrington of Houston; brother Jerry Richie of Georgetown; several nieces and nephews.
