Linda Joy Crawford's Obituary
On February 1, 2026, Linda Joy Stracener Crawford stepped into her heavenly home. She was born October 2, 1942 in Gladewater, Texas to Edmon Franklin Stracener and Virginia Merle Womble Stracener. Linda attended school in Gladewater and Leverett's Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James W. "Jim" Crawford; her son Billy Shanon McKissack; her sister Sue Stracener Martin; and her niece, Nikki Lea Martin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lida McKissack Vega (Eddie), her sister, Beth Stracener Lewis (Randy), her grandchildren, Sabrina Vega Baltazar (Diego), Sterling Shanon McKissack (Michaela), and Samantha McKissack Driver (Cody), nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and a nephew.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview from 1-2 PM with a service celebrating Linda’s life beginning at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Youngblood Cemetery in Beckville, TX. A memorial guestbook may be signed online at https://www.raderfh.com.
