Linda Jackson Campbell's Obituary
On December 13, 2022, Linda Faye Jackson Campbell passed away at age 75. Linda was born in Marshall, Texas on August 11, 1947, to Alvin Jackson and Minnie Elsie Croft Jackson. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 47 years, Bruce Everett Campbell. She is survived by daughters Lisa Catherine Campbell and Ruth Anne Campbell Cox, son-in-law Charles 'Chuck' Eugene Cox, grandson Benjamin 'Benji' Elliot Cox, brothers and sisters-in-law James & Joyce Jackson of Hallsville, Stanley & Mary Jackson of Hallsville, Judy Campbell of Marshall, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Linda graduated from Hallsville High School in 1965. She retired as school secretary from Bramlette Elementary School in Longview, Texas.
In easier times, Linda enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, and working in the garden. In later years she spent most of her time caring for Bruce and his service-related health challenges. After his passing, she developed a rapid onset, and progressive battle with dementia and mobility issues. During this time, she enjoyed watching game shows on television.
The family would like to thank the staff and church family at Fellowship Bible Church for their love and support. Thanks also go out to the staff of Paloma Palliative Care and Hospice for their wonderful, loving care this past year.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 16th, 2022, at Rader Funeral Home of Longview, Texas located at 1617 Judson Road. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Rader Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fellowship Bible Church, P.O. Box 9340, Longview, TX 75608.
