Linda E. Anderson's Obituary
Linda E. Anderson of Longview died on May 11, 2014 due to carcinoid cancer. She was born November 15, 1948, in Snyder, Texas. Linda was baptized in the Name of the Triune God on March 30, 1958, at the Methodist Church in Hermleigh, Texas.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Sadie Mae and Leeman Vandiver, a sister, Marjorie Light, and a brother, E. L. Vandiver, Jr.
Linda was an elementary school teacher and librarian. She held a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree from the University of North Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, of Longview; daughter Karen Lancaster of Magnolia, Texas; daughter Terrina Anderson, currently with the U. S. Army stationed in the Republic of Korea; son Larry Anderson of Argyle, Texas; sister Wanda Sue Stahl of Odessa, Texas; adopted sister Belinda Walenta of Longview; grandsons Reagan and Will Lancaster, and granddaughter Emma Lancaster.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 15, at 10 a.m. at First Lutheran Church of Longview, 3901 Bill Owens Parkway, with Rev. Jeffrey Borgwardt presiding. Burial will be on Saturday, May 17, at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Snyder, Texas.
