I had the pleasure of working with Linda at McClure Elementary and she was a great inspiration to me. When she moved on to take the reigns as Librarian at Hudson Pep Elementary, I had the honor of taking the position as Librarian at McClure. Linda made a job that I was terrified to acccept an easy transition, because she would leave Hudson in the evenings and come and train me at McClure. I will never forget the dedication she had for her job and to the students that she worked with. I am so very sorry for your loss. Heaven has gained yet another ANGEL!!!!!!!!

I had the pleasure of working with Linda at Jodie McClure Elementary. She truly had a passion for working with kids. Her time in the library was well spent, working to ensure that the kids did enjoy their time with her. To Linda' Family- I worked with Linda closely as a Librarian in LISD. I can truly say she was a true soldier. I can vivdly remember going on several Texas Library Conferences together. Once we were in Houston and she attended sessionsthat morning and left to go get treatment at M.D. Anderson at noon, and returned to the conference that evening ready to learn more. You are in my thoughts and Prayers.

I am so sorry to learn of Linda's passing. I was a volunteer at Hudson PEP Elementary when Linda was the Librarian there. It was my great pleasure to work along side her in the background...putting away returned books. How kind and patient she was to refresh my skills in the Dewey Decimal system that I had almost forgotten through the years. But mostly, I was impressed with her quiet dignity and her genuine interest in helping each child find his/her way in learning how to truly use a library.-- and enjoy books! She was a Real Teacher through and through. I am so sorry for your deep loss, and the public school system's.
