Lillie V. Kay's Obituary
Lillie V. Kay - Better known to all as Granny Kay, Sister Kay or Mrs. Kay. Born on October 27, 1924 in a tool shed in Vivian, Louisiana. On Saturday, February 9, 2019, she went to sleep peacefully and was carried in the arms of Jesus to her eternal reward. When she reached those Heavenly gates, she was greeted by her Sweetheart, Rev. A. P. Kay, the love of her life, married for 77 years on January 16, 2019. Along with her Sweetheart, were a host of heavenly angels and all of her loved ones gone on before. Father, Henry E. Varnell, Mother, Mary Childress Varnell, Brothers, Virgil Varnell, and Herschell Varnell, Beloved Son, Larry E. Kay, Great Grand Baby, Ashley Freeman along with many other loved ones.
She will be deeply missed by her Daughter, Rhonda Y. Kay who had the distinct honor of being her caregiver for the last 11 ½ years.
She is also survived by Son, Michael A Kay and wife, Deborah Kay along with her Grandsons, Jason Freeman and wife Ashley Rae Freeman, Barry Freeman, and Dwayne Kay, Granddaughter, Julia K Harrell and husband, Luke Harrell plus all of her precious great grand babies.
She loved God. She loved life. She loved people. She graduated from Marshall School of Nursing and deeply loved and cared for her patients. She also served as Pastors wife beside her husband as they loved and served people, establishing / pastoring church’s for God’s kingdom. She loved the ministry and adored her Pastor, Rev. Charles Chargois and his precious wife and family and she let everyone know that he should run for President.
