Lillie Belle Jones Passed away on Jan 21, 2018 in Longview, Texas at the age of 92. Visitation will be in the Chapel of Radar Funeral Home Longview, Thursday Jan 25 at 10 am and Service will be at 11 am. with Rev Charles Chargois officiating.
Lillie was born in Atlanta, Texas on Nov 3, 1925 the oldest of James Edward Weemes and Cordie Mell Highsmith Weemes.
She married William Elwood Jones on Jan. 18, 1941 in Atlanta, Texas. Lillie and Elwood moved to Longview, Texas in Jan 1957 with their 3 girls from Atlanta, Texas.
Lillie was a member of Calvary Christian Tabernacle from Jan 1957 until her death. She was always faithful to her church. She was loved by everyone she met.
Lillie was a loyal employee of both Perkin's and Thompson's. Department stores. She loved working as a sales clerk, sewing, traveling on church trips, and cooking for her family. Her greatest loves were for God and for her family, always surrounding herself with her Grand Children, Great Grandchildren and even her 2nd Great Grandchildren.
Lillie was preceded in death by her husband and parents, 2 Daughter's, Golda Faye Dorough, and Brenda Dean Wiess and 3 Brothers: J L Weemes, Harold Weemes, and Frank Weemes.
Lillie is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Pat Adams and husband Paul. 2 sisters: Bobbie Jean Maxie and Husband Nolan, and Mrs. Shirley Taylor, 2 brothers: Bill Weemes and wife Willie, Doyle Weemes, 5 grandchildren, Ronald Coats and wife Myoung, Ronda Herl and husband Barney, Dace Martin and husband David, Candy Rae and husband Alex and Donnie Wiess and wife Carissa. She is survived by 9 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.
