Lillie M. "Tillie" Cameron's Obituary
Graveside services for Lillie Mae Cameron, 91, of Longview will be held at Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11 am. Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7pm. Lillie went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 26, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Lillie was born on May 24, 1924 in Corsicana TX, to parents George and Ruby Jones. She found the love of her life after High School in Roy Cameron, and they were soon married. Tillie and Roy loved spending time together and would traverse the US and visit other countries together. They have been reunited in heaven.
Family was very important to Tillie; and she showed it by helping to care for her mother until her death. She would also travel with Roy to California for many years in order to visit her sister and the rest of her family.
Tillie was a good friend and neighbor and enjoyed nothing more than visiting with her friends and playing bridge; she organized the neighborhood birthday club and the Oak Crest Women’s Club. She would volunteer at numerous hospital auxiliaries during her lifetime.
Lillie was preceded in death by her husband Roy Cameron; parents George and Ruby; her sister Bettye Larson; and nephew Charles Larson. She will be forever remembered by her niece and nephews as well as their children. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be made to the charity of your choice.
