Lillian Molpus' Obituary
Funeral services for Lillian Molpus, of Longview, will be 2 PM Monday, December 16, 2002 at the Winterfield United Methodist Church with Reverend Mike
Lindstrom officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5-7 PM.
Mrs. Molpus was born in Holmes County, MS to William and Mary Wade. Lillian was employed by LISD for 26 yrs. She retired as cafeteria manager for Mozelle Johnston Elementary school. She was an active member of the Fellowship Class at Winterfield United Methodist Church. She also was active in United Methodist Women, Chancel Choir and the Stephen Ministry. Lillian was also very active in the Longview Community Ministries which included Meals on Wheels, where she was a coordinator, Coats for Kids, and Newgate Ministry.
Mrs. Molpus is survived by her son, Buddy Molpus and wife Laura of Longview; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Bob Bauman of Memphis, TN, Paula and Oscar Gonzalez of Longview; sister, Gertrude Amis of Jackson, MS; daughter-in-law, Jimy Burdette of Ft. Worth.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kyle Molpus, Austin Molpus, Collin Gonzalez, Michael Burdette, Renee Charboneau, Buck Cargal, Theresa Mobly, Cathy Ferguson and nine great grandchildren.
Lillian was preceded in death by a son, Mac Burdette and her husband, Willis Henry Molpus.
Memorial donations may be made to the Longview Community Ministries and/or Winterfield United Methodist Church.
