Lillian L. McKillop's Obituary
Lillian L. McKillop passed away March 9, 2007 in Longview, TX.Lillian was born August 6, 1947 in Danville, IL. She grew up in Danville, IL and married James McKillop in November 1968. She was a secretary for the majority of her life working with Dadant and Sons beekeeping supplies, Paris TX for 13 years before moving to Longview. She worked for Dillard?s winning a Pacesetter award for sales achievement, and later worked for Hallmark cards setting displays in and around Longview. She was an avid reader, loved listening to and singing music; while living in Paris she was a member of Sweet Adeline?s. Lillian also loved sewing and crafting, needlepoint, crochet, knitting and many other hobbies. Her main focus in life was her family as she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very proud breast cancer survivor and diligently donated to breast cancer research. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Harry C. Hummer and her sister Sally K. Kamplain, both of Danville, IL. Surviving are her husband James R. McKillop, Longview TX; her sons Shawn W. McKillop, Greenville, TX; and Eric V. McKillop, Paris TX; her grandchildren Ashley G. McKillop and Joshua V. McKillop both of Paris TX; and her mother Bessie L. Hummer of Danville, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Rader Funeral Home with memorial services at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 15th at Rader Funeral Home.
