Lillian Cooper Shorter's Obituary
Funeral services for Lillian Cooper Shorter, 88, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Rev. Jonathan Jehorek officiating. Burial will follow in Fellowship cemetery in Warren, Texas at 3 PM. Mrs. Shorter passed away Sunday morning at her home in Longview. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.
Lillian was born on February 14, 1923 in Warren, Texas. She graduated from Warren High School. Lillian was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years Robert A. Cooper, her second husband, Marshall Shorter; and her brothers, O.B. Youngblood, Dick Youngblood, Jesse Youngblood, Roy Youngblood, and Johnny Youngblood.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Joanne Cooper of Tatum, and Jon and Tina Cooper of Longview; her daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Leon Levens of Lufkin, and Connie and Bob Oliphint of Garland, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
