Lila Smith's Obituary
Lila Marie Smith was born February 17, 1943 in Swartz, Louisiana. She went peacefully to be with Lord on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in Longview.
She was an active member of Forest Hills Baptist Church and was honored to be the pianist for many years. She was an accomplished pianist, organist and seamstress. Times with her family and grandchildren were her absolute favorites.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Stephens and wife Melanie of Longview; daughter, Cathy Cheatham and husband, Paul of Palestine. Four grandchildren, Alek Stephens, Jacob Cheatham, Courtney Cheatham and Luke Cheatham. Two nephews, Darrell Fite and Brian Hills and a host of special friends.
Services will be 10 am Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Pastor Tom McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 25th from 5 to 7 pm.
