Through the years like many others I have gotten to see Uncle Bubber at his best. He took great pride in a firm handshake... As a youngster He taught us the importance of a good grip and left us with a sore hand. Always looking for a challenge he would talk you into arm wrestling and he never let you win! Told us he was an old bull and couldn't be beat! Getting older I realized that was true for most things whether work or play he gave it his all. Uncle Bubber was a kind and loving man...he made sure you knew his house was open to you at all times and wanted to be a part of your life. Uncle Bubber was loved and will be missed by all. Uncle Bubber was a sweet and kind man. An early memory I have of him and Aunt Lola was that they paid for our hotel room the first night of our honeymoon. I am thankful to have been able to call him uncle. Sorry for the families loss. Sending love and prayers

I remember going to Uncle Bubber's for a week during the summer. He and Aunt Lola always showed us a good time. In everything that he did, it seemed that he was teaching us a better way of doing things. One of my favorite memories was listening to him and and all his brothers laughing and playing with an electric train set on Christmas Eve that was meant for me and Brent. It was about wore out by the time we got it. Lol.

My memories of Uncle Bubba include knowing he was a Gentle man. He loved and cared so much for his family! He made sure aunt Lola and Mary Ann were at the top of his list. He loved being with his mom, dad and all his siblings and their families. There was always a lot of laughter when we all got together. He laughed with you but not at you. He was a hard working and highly respected man in the family and on his job. Uncle Bubba, you are going to be missed. ❤️ Linda

When I was about 9&10 years old I would go spend a week during the summer with uncle Buber and aunt Lola. They would carry me to the country club and he would play golf and Lola would sit by the poolside while I played in the water till I looked like a prune!!
They were always both so special to me!
I have more but Mary Ann would knock me in the head.

I remember Uncle Bubber as a mischievous person and loved getting with the brothers and roasting whoever was the subject of the moment. He loved to laugh and be with the family. He always seemed interested in what you had to say.

I have good memories of Uncle Bubber as being quiet, but strong. I loved his laugh, how he shook all over when he laughed. I appreciated it so much when he sat quietly for hours in Mama's hospital room the last month of her life. The service was very nice. Jacob did a wonderful job bringing the message. Mariann and family, we know there will be lonely days ahead. But reach out for the comfort of Jesus. With love. Karen
