Lewis Allen Pool's Obituary
Funeral services for Lewis Allen Pool, age 87 of Lufkin formerly of Henderson will be held Saturday February 18, 2012 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Kuykendall and Rev. Walter Futch officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Pool born July 21, 1924 in Henderson, and died February 16, 2012 in a Lufkin nursing facility.
Mr. Pool was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Lufkin, and a former 35 year member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Henderson. Lewis was a World War II veteran receiving the Bronze Star for serving his country from 1943 – 1945 in the European Theater. He retired from the U.S. Postal service after a career of 24 years.
He was preceded in death by his Parents Lewis L. & Ida Mae Allen Pool, 2 brothers and 8 sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Mary Pool, daughter Alana Parker & husband Roger all of Lufkin, grandson Lance Parker & wife Diana of Houston, 2 great grandsons
Noah & Griffin Parker.
The family will meet friends at the Funeral Home from 12noon ~ 2:00pm Saturday.
