Letha Loyd's Obituary
Funeral Services for Letha Loyd, 85, of Longview, will be held at 2 PM Friday, June 21, 2002 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with the Reverend Othel Boles officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Loyd was born in Upshur County, Texas on May 14, 1917 to Will E. and Birdie Lee Youngblood. She passed away on Wednesday morning, June 19, 2002 in a Longview nursing facility.
Mrs. Loyd was a resident of Longview for the past 56 years, a homemaker, and a member of
Emanuel Baptist Church of Longview.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Elbert Loyd, and is survived by her children, Thomas Gleezen, Hugh Gleezen, Grace Ann Fletcher, Lynda Greathouse, Lanna Dulaney, Autry Loyd, Clarence Loyd, Loye Loyd, Betty Powell, Dena Bruno, Janice Gonzales, brother, Vaughn Allen "Boots" Smith, 33 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, June 20, 2002 at the funeral home.
