Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New London. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Davidson went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18 after the devastating effects of 2 strokes.
"Mamma Faye" was a friendly person who never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. She loved fishing, cooking, gardening, garage sales, antiquing, singing and playing the guitar in Church. Even in her later years, she was able to visit the sick to pray for them and take food. More than anything, she loved the Lord and attended Church faithfully. She was an inspiration to many and will be missed.
Waiting with Jesus to greet her in Heaven is her husband of 51 years, Archie Davidson. She will also be greeted by her parents, Jack and Hazzie Linton; brothers, Ellis, Dake, Everett, Pete and Bodie Linton; her sister, Iola Fears and her great granddaughter Michaila Davidson.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses, Ed Davidson and Teresa Barnes, Darlene and Robert Nelson, and Susie and Phillip Moses; her grandchildren, Pamela Cline, Roger Davidson, Michael Davidson, Kevin Nelson, Aaron Moses, Shane Davidson, Kyle Nelson and their spouses.; 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Davidson will also be missed by her boyfriend of over a decade, Leo Whitfield; her sisters Maggie Norris, Dancle Clark; her brothers and their spouses, Mike and Mary Linton, and Tom Linton and Patsy Brown; many nieces and nephews, and a large Church family.
The family request that memorials be made to her church, the Lighthouse Church, 5925 W. Marshall Ave. Longview, Texas 75604; Ronald McDonald House of Dallas Attn: Sarah Leverett 4707 Bengal Street, Dallas, Texas 75235; or to the American Heart Association, PO Box 841125 Dallas, TX 75284-1125.
