Susan and Patty
I am sorry for your lose. My prayers are with the family. Love to both of you.
I worked with Lester for 20 years at LDP. The Waffle Shoppe was also the meeting place for the Shift Sergeants Staff Meetings. It was there and on the streets of Longview that Sgt. Brown freely gave advice of his many years experience and wisdom in dealing with calls and the police administration that helped my career as a Sgt. at LPD. It seems that our, "Old School Police Sgts." are vanishing more frequently now and have headed for higher ground. We now have more friends in heaven as we do on earth! Lester say hello to all our friends for me for we will all be reunited soon.
##imported-begin##Sgt. John Adair/LPD Retired##imported-end##Mr. Brown came to see "Shake, Rattle & Roll" shows on many occasions and we always loved to pick on him and bring him up on stage out of the audience. He came to many of our shows in Shreveport, which is where I came to know him.
Shake, Rattle & Roll will miss seeing him at our shows and I think we brought him some good memories. He will be missed. Tavie Spivey
Sgt. Lester Brown was missed when he retired from the Longview Police Dept. and will always be missed. It was a pleasure to me to have known him and worked with him at the Police Department. He was always able to put a smile on everyones faces, just by being himself. I for one will never forget him. He was a good man, a great officer and a great American.
