Leslie Kay Rosser's Obituary
Funeral services for Leslie Kay Rosser, 53, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Friday, September 25, 2015 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Reverend Ricky Ricks officiating. Burial will follow in Kildare Cemetery in Kildare. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Leslie was born on September 11, 1962 in Longview, Texas to Howard and Kathryn Rosser. She graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1981 and attended Kilgore College, then Blinn College. Ms. Rosser was a formerly in the Court for the Gilmer Yamboree. She worked at KNIF Radio as Leslie Love while in high school and worked as “Dawn” on the Dark and Dawn show on KYKS in Lufkin and Nacogdoches from 1982-1987. Leslie also worked as the Public Relations Director for McDonalds Corp for 3 years, Executive Director of the Sealy, Texas Chamber of Commerce for 5 years, and Sales Director for East Texas Tourism Association for 16 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard W. Rosser.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Kathryn Rosser of Longview; daughter, Kaitlyn Boyd Parker and husband Devon of Longview; sister, Belinda Rosser Gunckel and husband David of Bisbee, AZ; her nephew David “Davey” Gunckel III of Bisbee, AZ; aunts and uncles, Betty and Charlie Pfiefer of Las Cruces, NM, Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Bewley of Texarkana, Mrs. H.E. “Dot” Rosser of New Boston, TX, Mrs. Virginia Guernsey of Tyler, TX, Wilna Gay Howlett of Marshall, TX, Linda and Billy Ray Adcox of Sterlington, LA, Rosanne and Larry Hodge of Tyler, TX, numerous cousins and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Keith Boyd, David Gunckel II, David Gunckel III, and Devon Parker.
The family request that memorial donations be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, 2401 Fountain View Drive, Suite 900, Houston, TX 77057; the American Heart Association PO BOX 841125, Dallas, TX 75284-1125; or to the Greggton United Methodist Church, 1101 Pine Tree Rd. Longview, Texas 75604.
