To the family of Les Stagner:
My cousin Carole Marples and I are so saddened by the news of our neighbor across-the-street "Mister Stagner" {as we knew him} passing away. He was a fine gentleman and a faithful Christian. He and I would like to discuss "current events of the day" as we gathered our postal mail from our respective boxes. Due to an old leg injury of mine, plus a few more injuries I endured ---we noticed that "Mister Stagner" & I had "matching walkers". We knew of his health, but he didn't complain a bit. Les was always cheerful and brightened our days. He was a delightful gentleman...always upbeat in personality. He will be genuinely missed.

My Pop meant the world to me. He showed me unconditional love from the moment I became a part of his family. Please accept my sympathies for your loss. Les was a good friend to me early in my life. Because of his example and invitation, I became involved in RAs at Calvary, and we spent several years working together with the boys. Les’s Wife and Ms. Brookshire wrote encouragement letters and sent cookies to me while I was in the service. He sent a very nice card to me when my wife passed away a couple of years ago. Les was a Godly man and I know you all will miss Him, but oh, what a reunion there will be in Heaven.

So sorry for this families loss, Les was a good friend and we spent many hours working together at Eastman. Heaven gain a good one this week.
I went to school in Van with your dad and your mom. The last time I saw him was at one of our lunch meetings a couple of years ago. I am so sorry for your loss, but I know that you have wonderful memories and those don't go away. I knew all of the Stagners, of course. In a small town you know everybody and make friends with all of them. Try to just remember the good times.

Les was such a blessing and a godly man. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time.
Loved this guy from the first time I ever met him. Ruth included in that as well. Dick and I became great friends so the Stagner family is special to my wife Susie and I. Les impacted the lives of so many.
