Leroy Eugene Linseisen's Obituary
Leroy Eugene Linseisen died on March 8, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Leroy was born on June 9, 1945 in Waller, Texas to Josef Linseisen and Katharina Huber Linseisen, both German immigrants.
He grew up on a dairy farm in Waller, one of ten siblings, and graduated from Waller High School. He learned the heat exchanger business at Hart Radiator. He moved to Longview in 1972 and established East Texas Radiator.
He was a believer, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather. He was a leader in the community and loved coaching little league baseball. He taught his kids how to raise cattle, chickens, and rabbits, and his absolute love of his garden drove his family crazy. He grew his own grapes to make his own wine, distilled his own whiskey, and at one point even grew his own tobacco. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, and hunted anything he could get a chance to - but Texas white tail deer were always his favorite.
He was preceded in death by parents Josef and Katharina, sisters Dorothy, Frieda, and Rosemary, brothers Edward and Ray, and sons Steven Wesley Linseisen and Leroy Eugene Linseisen Jr.
Leroy is survived by the love of his life, wife of 37 years, Ruth Ann Linseisen, loving and devoted sons Nathan Dwane Linseisen, Bryon Keith Linseisen, Scott Caldwell, Adam Caldwell, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Thursday March 13, 2025 at 2:00PM
