Mr. Lovett stepped into my office the first day we met, and it happened to be one of those days I wanted to stick my head in the sand and hide. I take my job seriously and when I make a mistake I stress a little more than I should. Well this day I found out about a FEW mistakes that I had made. I was stressed. In walks in this young man, dressed sharp and very kind eyes. He asked me how my day was going and I told him I’ve had better days. And he looked at me with the kindest eyes and said to me,” will this affect you in 5 years?” I said no sir. He said “ then it isn’t worth you stressing yourself about.” Those words have and will always stick with me. He didn’t have to try to make me feel better. He could have just said that’s life. But he was the kind of person that cared about this stranger. We had a great conversation, and he asked for me only when he came in from that day forward. He would ask how my stress level was and if I’ve been ok. We talked about many things besides the business he had to tend to. He became my friend. He introduced me to Jennifer, and I hope we remain friends. He made a strong impression on me. So glad I met him and was able to make an impression on him as well.
