Mrs. Lenora Farnell Amos' Obituary
Funeral services for Lenora Farnell Amos, 64, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Dr. James Cantey officiating. Burial will follow in Summerfield Cemetery. Mrs. Amos passed away Sunday morning at her home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Lenora was born on October 29, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to Keith and Doris Farnell. She was a school counselor for many years with LISD at campuses including Mozelle Johnston and Foster and was the Principal at Valley View Elementary before her retirement in 2000. She loved traveling and some of her favorite trips were her family vacations to Disney World. She enjoyed volunteering for HeartsWay Hospice as a Counselor and sitter, but her main joy in life was being a devoted and generous “LeeMom” to her 3 grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, Jim Amos; her daughter, Angela Amos Jones; her son Jim Alan Amos and his wife Christi; and her grandchildren, Julianna and Jace Jones and Sammy Cason Amos. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to HeartsWay Hospice, 4351 McCann Rd Longview, TX 75605.
