Lena L. Peavy Wooley's Obituary
Lena L. Peavy Wooley, 85, of Henderson, went to be with her Lord June 8, 2010 in Henderson after a lengthy illness.
Lena was born in San Augustine, Texas, on April 1, 1925 to Samuel Irwin and Stella Whitten Peavy. She married Samuel G. Wooley on December 18, 1945. She was a homemaker , a beloved mother of seven children, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Funeral services will be held at the Rader Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM Friday, June 11, 2010 with Rev. A.G. Odom officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Wooley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Raymond Peavy and sisters, Zeffie Peavy Stone and Gerlene Peavy Wooley.
Surviving are sons; Joe E. Wooley, Royce Wooley, John S. Wooley and wife Rebecca , all of Henderson; daughters, Joyce Wallace and husband Jessie of Longbranch, Elaine Harrell and husband Ray of Henderson, Jackie Long and husband Martin of Nacogdoches, and Peggy Irvine and husband Glen of Lake Dallas; grandchildren: Jesse T. Wallace and wife Lari of Greenville, Angie Porter and husband Gene of Timpson, Kevin Wallace and wife Sonja of Henderson, Amee Cloutier of Nacogdoches, Scott Collins and wife Amber of Ft. Hood, and Jennifer Warnell and husband Timothy of White Oak; great-grandchildren; Colby and Bradley Porter, Preslee Wallace, Austin Bateman, Lizzie Bateman, Chandler and Sheridan Wallace, Aaron and Shaylee Collins, and Jacqueline and Andre Cloutier; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Warnell, Scott Collins, Jesse T. Wallace, Kevin Wallace, Bradley Porter, and Bobby Joe Wooley.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Friday at the funeral home.
