Lena Cooper's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lena Georgia Cooper, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who departed this world on May 9, 2025, at the age of 80. Lena was born on February 22, 1945, in Palo Alto, California, to Giaccomo Bruzzone and Isabella Bolla. She spent her life nurturing and caring for her family as a devoted homemaker and created countless cherished memories in her Longview, Texas home.
Lena’s warm spirit and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her. She brought joy to those around her, and her laughter echoed in the lives of her loved ones. Lena is survived by her beloved husband of 19 years, Gerald Cooper, children; Sherrie Barker and husband Kenneth, Elizabeth Jones and husband Paul, Louis Wheeler, Christina Blevins and husband Jim, Keith Cooper and wife Glynda, Mark Cooper and wife Judy, Nathan Cooper and wife Lea, and many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview on May 17, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Rader Funeral Home in Longview on May 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Lena touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed. May her soul find peace, and may the warmth of her love surround us always.
