Leisa Jones-Smith's Obituary
(LONGVIEW)—Leisa Jones-Smith, 40, of Longview died unexpectedly in her home on Monday September 18th, 2017. Visitation at Calvary Baptist Church in Longview will begin at 3 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 4 p.m.
Leisa was born in Longview on December 21, 1976. She was a lifetime local resident and a Pine Tree High School graduate. Leisa earned her associate degree in nursing at the University of Texas and her bachelor’s degree in nursing through Baylor University. Leisa worked as an emergency room nurse at Good Shepherd Medical Center and later as a Home Health nurse. Nursing was her true calling, as her family and patients can attest.
She was a beautiful, gentle-hearted, loving and giving wife, mother, daughter, sister and best friend. Leisa was known for always presenting herself well in public with her hair fixed, perfect make-up, something in pink, bold earrings and of course...her bling! She loved sparkles and left a trail everywhere she went with her smile and laughter. She enjoyed life and investing in others.
Leisa is survived by her husband of 9 years, Longview Firefighter Scott Smith; daughters Kamryn and Kaylan Jones and Karlie Smith; parents Robert and Sheila Hayes; brothers Jeramy & wife Cheri Hayes, Curtis Ray Klima, Randy Klima, and Ricky Klima; grandparents Curtis and Robbie Kruse and Betty Hayes; aunts and uncles David Hayes, Linda Williams, Donna Fitzgerald; in-laws George & Dorothy Smith.
Leisa is preceded in death by her father Roy Klima, aunt Karen Dollahite, uncle Anthony Klima, grandmother Meta Black and grandfather Harlan Hayes.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established at Southside Bank for donations under
