Funeral services for Leigh Milton Baron, 66, of White Oak will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Rev. Tony Hoefner officiating. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery. Read Obituary

Approximately 10 years ago I was very blessed to have met Mr. Baron. I was in need of a farrier and he came to my home and was so patient and kind. He was one of the kindest men I have ever known and had a great wealth of knowledge about most any subject. We shared a love of horses and people, as I am in the medical field and we shared stories many times. He was such a precious person and will be missed terribly by so many people. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in this sad time. He had such a strong faith and there were many times we discussed my oldest son who is in the 82nd Airborne and was in Afghanistan and he always gave me assurance that God was watching over him. As a first time horse owner I appreciated so much that he shared his great wealth of knowledge with me. He was meticulous about his trade and like a true businessman punctual. Over the past few years he had health problems but he overcame them with a can do attitude. I will miss him very much. My sympathies to his family.
