For the first 12 years of my life, Von was my next-door neighbor. In fact, my first pair of cowboy boots were hand-me-downs from Von! ... I remember I had a cat named “Private,” and so as not to be outranked, Von got a new cat and named him “Sergeant.” You always had fun when Von was around!

I am sorry to read of Lavons passing. He was one brave man. I had the honor to work with him as a Police Officer, he was my Sargent and trainer.
