Laverne Pyland Edwards' Obituary
Funeral services for Laverne Pyland Edwards, 82, of Longview, will be 10 AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, with Reverend Kevin Wittmayer officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 7 PM.
Mrs. Edwards went to be with her Lord Monday morning in a Longview hospital.
Mrs. Edwards was born March 7, 1925 and had lived in Longview most of her life. Laverne was a life long friend and employee of rhe Robbins family. She went to work for the late John C. Robbins, Jr. in 1949 and retired as an executive secretary in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Jim Edwards and by her parents: Dee and Lola Pyland.
She is survived by her daughter: Patti Higginbotham and her husband Tony, grandson: James Kelly Higginbotham and great grandson: Ryan Higginbotham.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to Longview Humane Society.
