I had many things I wished to have said at the funeral, however I was not aware that the offer to say someting had been made. With that said - I came into this family 14 years ago this November and was welcomed with open arms. A man could not have asked for a finer mother-in-law or father-in-law. I am proud to have had the distinct honor and privlege of knowing them. Laverne in her many caring ways, always giving, never taking, always there and those are the things we all cherish forever and these things cannot be taken from us. Vince was a man of great virtue, a proud and honorable man. Sometimes crotchety, but always caring about doing the right thing. Sometimes in life we complain about the little things, the insignificant inconvenieneces that we each cause each other, only now to find ourselves yearning for just one more opportunity to so something for our loved ones. I had the task of teachng Vince how to use a computer. This was no small task by any means. But it was so important to him becase his son and daughter-in-law were leaving to do missionary work in Africa and he feared for their safety. So there I sat hour after hour, and of course , on occasion I complined about the inconvenience, and now I would give anything to have just one more minute with either of them. But wouldn't we all? May God bless us one and all.##imported-begin##Ron Welling##imported-end##
