Laura Duty O'Connor's Obituary
Laura Duty O’Connor was born December 18, 1925 in Beaumont, TX to Anthony and Lena Collura Marino and passed away on June 26, 2016 in Longview, TX. She was married to her first husband, Kenneth Duty, Sr. for 42 years. And married to her second husband Richard O’Connor for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband. She is survived by her Husband, Richard O’Connor brother, Vincent “Bud” Marino and wife Ruth of Vidor, TX and her sister Marie Myers of Beaumont, TX. Her three children; Kenneth Ray Duty, Jr. and wife Cindy of Longview, Gary Duty and wife Charlotte of White Oak and Carol Griffith and husband Herb of Kilgore. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren; Jeff Duty and wife Elisabeth, Terri Smith, Kristie Johnson, Jamie Baker and husband John, Sam Duty and wife Abby, Heather Pinson and husband Paul, Tyler Griffith and wife Casey, Haley Montgomery and husband Trent and Conner Griffith and wife Jessica. She also leaves behind 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild many nieces and nephews and her step children; Charlene Wilson and husband Jim, Sheila Friend and husband Mark, Arthur O’Connor and wife Judy and Chris O’Connor and wife Alisia.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she will be missed by all those that knew her.
A graveside service for Laura will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Old White Oak Cemetery at 10 am. There will be a visitation the night before at Rader Funeral Home between 6 and 8 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
