I want to extend my deepest sympathy to Karley as well as many Laura's close friends. It was a privilege to work with Laura for over 15 years at Longview ISD, Laura spent her professional life caring for others especially those who suffered with hearing loss. Our offices were close to each other. When time permitted we talked about many different topics trying to solve the "world's problems" as well as making education better for students with mental and physical issues.
I will always remember Laura as a creative, caring person who had a "big heart" for helping others.

So many good memories of working together as administrators of deaf education’s Regional Day School Programs for the Deaf. We had a lot of fun at the statewide supervisor’s meeting and committees too. Laura was a kind person and a joy to be around.
