Funeral services for Laura Jay Abel, age 60, of Henderson, will be held Monday January 8, 2007 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson with the Rev. Tony Lewis and Rev. David Dumas officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery.
Laura passed away Friday January 5, 2007 at Henderson Memorial Hospital
She was born August 14, 1946 in Henderson, she was a graduate of Midland High School, she was a retired office manager for Universal Electronics.and
She was a Protestant.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Basil and Frieda Jay, and
Her husband Brian D ?Chip? Abel.
She is survived by 2 sons, Steven & wife Bianca Evans Abel of Dallas,
PFC Michael Scott & wife Alexandra Buschgen Abel of Fort Gordon, Ga.
Brother Basil Jay Jr. of Lindale. 2 sisters Virginia Kelley of Henderson,
Nancy Love of Lindale, Nephew Braxton Love of Dallas, sister-in- law
Adrienne McElhaney of Iraan, Brother-in-law Shan Abel of Marble
Falls, brother-in-law Billy Bright of Big Spring, mother-in-law
Billie Bright of McKamey, and special friends Haylee, Maggie Mae and
Dixie Lulu.
Pallbearers will be Michael Abel, Steven Abel, Braxton Love, Michael Kearney Jr. and Lannie Wilcox.
Family visitation will be from 4pm ? 6pm Sunday at the funeral home.
