Our precious angel, Laura Elizabeth , was born on March 25, 1995 and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 2, 2002. God sent Laura to touch many lives and change many hearts with her compelling smile and tender virtues.
Everyone knew she was special from the beginning of her life as even science could not explain her physical nature. It was these physical challenges that created the Laura we all love. As everyone watched her progress through her life, her sweetness and complexities endeared her to all.
God put Laura into a very loving family. It was the love of her parents, Randy and Eve, and her grandmother, Joyce Riley, that sustained her life for 6 treasured years. Eve is the special mother God chose for Laura who lovingly and patiently cared for her and taught Laura, her special language. Randy is her loving and proud father in whose arms she found comfort.
She has three brothers who love her very much; Riley 13, whom she admired, Nick, 11, who gave her night time hugs, and Jackson 9, who entertained her. God also gave her wonderful grandparents, Jack and Joyce Riley, and Patrick and the late Mary Ellen Wyers, a great grandmother, Hazel Magnolia Abell, her uncles and their wives, Andy and Doris Riley, Eric and Dana Riley, and aunts and their husbands, Susie and Robert Lightfoot, Suzanne and Greg York, and 9 cousins.
Her four uncles will serve as pallbearers.
The family requests that memorials be made to: Early Childhood Intervention, 425 Main Street, Longview, Texas 75601.
''Every family should be so blessed with a sweet angel sent from God. We shall miss Laura dearly, but rejoice in knowing her life with the Lord is full and overflowing with Joy.''
