Latisha Cox's Obituary
Latisha Dawn Cox, age 49, was born on June 1, 1975, in Longview, Texas. She passed away peacefully at her home on July 24, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with breast cancer.
Tisha graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1993. She enjoyed life to its fullest and was known for being a sweet, caring, and loving woman with a deep affection for people and animals. In 2004, she met the love of her life, Roger Ward. Tisha cherished spending time with her family, enjoying weekends fishing at Caddo Lake, taking cruises in the Caribbean, and sharing daily moments with her mom watching General Hospital. She found joy in being with her family and watching her nieces and nephews in their activities. Tisha loved her pets as if they were her children and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roger Ward; her son, Ryder Ward; her mother and stepfather, Linda and Rick Jones; her sister and brother-in-law, Liana and David Niblett; her brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Emily Cox; her brothers-in-law, Dan, Larry, Rob, and Roy Ward; and her mother-in-law, Donna Ward. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Patsy and Doug Woods, David Bledsoe, Robert and Hiroko Bledsoe, Charles and Ruth Cox, Frances Cox, Rita Cox, Jerry Long, and Jana Cox; her nieces and nephews, Haylee and Chris Cooper, Nolan and Abby Cox, and Rylee and Karsyn Niblett; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Tisha was preceded in death by her father, Larry Cox; brother, Jason Cox; maternal grandparents, Glenn and Verlie Bledsoe; paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Faye Cox; uncles, John and Rodger Cox; aunt, Felita Long; nephew, Mason Cox; and her father-in-law, Herman Ward.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 2 PM at the Chapel at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, with burial to follow at New White Oak Cemetery. Family visitation will be on Sunday, July 28, from 6 to 8 PM at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel. In memory of Tisha, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the ASPCA.
