Pastor Larry Lanphier's Obituary
On August 23, 2018, Pastor Larry Lanphier, husband, father, papa, brother, pastor and friend, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 68. Larry was born April 16, 1950 to Zettie and Callie Lanphier in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He met and then married his wife of 46 years, Dollie, on June 10, 1972. He was in the Air Force and they were stationed in Wiesbaden, West Germany for 3 years where their daughter, Lori, was born.
After 8 years of military service, Larry pastored several churches in South Texas and worked as a dental lab technician. Larry was currently the lead pastor of Increase Church in White Oak, TX, formerly known as White Oak First Assembly of God.
Larry loved people! He loved helping people and ministering to them. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zettie and Callie Lanphier, two brothers, George Lanphier and Kenneth Lanphier. He is survived by his wife, Dollie and daughter Lori Burnett and husband Brett, two grandchildren, Zane and Jillian, brother, Renne Lanphier and wife Clara, sister Frances Coleman and husband Harley, and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Saturday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with Rev. Erny McDonough, Rev. Melvin Ware and Rev. Jason Brandon officiating. Pallbearers are Zettie Lanphier, Troy Lanphier, Jim Lanphier, Dobe Lanphier, Eric Coleman, and Stan Brown. Burial will follow at 3 PM at Bethel Cemetery in Scroggins, Texas.
