Larry Hamilton's Obituary
Larry Hamilton went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 13. Graveside services will be Monday, November 16, 10 am at Lakeview Cemetery followed by a memorial service at Greggton Methodist Church at 11 am. Visitation will be Sunday 3 to 5 pm at Rader Funeral Home.
Mr. Hamilton was born in Dallas February 19, 1936. He attended SMU before graduating from Texas Tech in 1958. As a mechanical engineer he enjoyed his work at Collins Radio Co. in Dallas before moving to Florida for five years where he worked in the satellite communication and space industry. After returning to Dallas he worked for E-Systems before moving to Longview in 1977. He was Vice President of Programs at Vertex Corporation in Kilgore before retiring. He served in the Navy Reserve for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emily Hamilton Rittenberry and Lawrence Hamilton.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lucinda, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and John DeBellevue of Flower Mound, son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Traci Hamilton of White Oak, brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Becky Rittenberry of Dallas, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Merilyn and Warner Hutchison, brother-in-law, Bob Wilson. He took special pride in his grandchildren, Richard, Alaina, Michael and Andrew DeBellevue, Korbyn and Keatyn Hamilton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Memorial donations may be made to Greggton United Methodist Church.
