Larry Brian Partain
A memorial services celebrating the life of Larry Brian Partain will be 11 am, Thursday, August 2nd at First Christian Church in Longview. Larry, 73, passed away Monday, July 30th. Larry was born October 30, 1938 in Austin, Texas to Grover and Catherine Partain.
Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carlene Partain, and their three children and spouses; Linda and Richard Cashell of Lindale, TX; Alan and Courtney Partain of Leesburg, VA; and Steven and Cheri Partain of Portland, OR. Larry is also survived by seven grandchildren, Laura Perkins Starling, Travis Perkins, Trevor Partain, Garret Partain, Amelia Partain, Adrian Partain, Eliana Partain, and great grandson, Kaden Starling.
Larry was a chemical engineer with a degree from the University of Texas, and worked for Texas Eastman for 36 years. He was an active member of First Christian Church, where he served in many capacities and sang in the Chancel Choir.
A special recognition is given to the care given by Dr. Larry Frase and Texas Oncology for over ten years. Recently, Beacon Hospice, gently guided him and his wife through his last days.
Visitation will be at Rader Funeral Home in Longview from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday August 1st.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disciple House, First Christian Church, 720 N. Sixth St, Longview, TX 75601 or to a charity of choice.
