Larry and I grew up about 5 blocks from each other. We never ran together, we were connected thru school. In 1973 I moved to Austin. Hippi years for me.I reminded myself of Maynard G. Krebs as far as my work ethic. Non the less even in 1973 Austin Texas living required some money. So I got out the classifieds to find a paycheck. I saw Transportation Enterprises needed some shuttle bus drivers for U. T. Students. When I showed up at their office, there was Larry. He gave me one of the “best” jobs I ever had. Even if he had not hired me I would tell you true, he was one fine guy. He had great smile and personality equally winning. I hope his life was all he hoped for. Pat Wolfe, class of ‘67 LHS
