L. David Burris
Funeral services for L. David Burris, 74, of Longview, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend James Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. He passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at his residence.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 13.
Mr. Burris was born April 6, 1930 in Gillham, Arkansas to Walter and Florence Burris, and had been a resident of Longview since 1966. He was a retired utility operator for Texas Eastman Co. and a member of the New Life Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sons David and Randy Burris, and brother Walter Burris.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Linnie Burris of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jeff Blalock of Clarksville City, TX.; daughters-in-law, Libby Burris of Gilmer and Rachel Burris of Waco; brother, Alvin Burris of Gillham, Arkansas; sister, Joyce Clayborn of Eugene, Oregon; 3 grandchildren, Chrissy Burris of Dallas and Jason Burris and Ashlee Burris both of Waco; and 1 great granddaughter, Hannah Burris; and several nieces and nephews.
